Kyros watched as Odysseus sailed away from the cyclops. I laughed Mirthlessly as Polythemus pleaded for a curse. After he spoke it Posieden granted him the wish. Odysseus and his men were blown off their course home bound. They traveled to the land of the dead, and Odysseus heard the prophecy of what he will endure to get home. I decided then that i would aid him. I took pity on the way the gods shunned him and left him to misfortune. As he traveled through the strait of Gibraltar i saw the men he lost; i assured his safety. As Odysseus came upon the island of helio's cattle he went ashore to pray. I could sense his men were planning to slaughter the cattle; so to spare Odysseus from the wraith of the gods i put him in a deep slumber. When he awoke he saw what his men had done and fled the island. Zeus Struck the ship with with lightening and killed all but Odysseus thanks to my protection. He came upon the strait again and would've surely died if not for the perch i gave him to hang on; and the piece of wood to float on. Then began the journey home for Odysseus.
